Here's the "Story"...
In 1978, at the age of 18 Cheryl then known as Cheryl Peart, made her debut with the Bob Braun show on WLWT-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio and was dubbed “America’s Coupon Queen.” Braun was so impressed that he offered her a position as a regular on the show. Within days another offer was made where Shuman appeared nationally on the popular television series “PM MAGAZINE.” As an entrepreneur and the nation’s youngest syndicated television journalist, her couponing and refunding system made her a branding expert with America’s biggest corporate brands.

Shuman’s career was cut short by a near fatal car crash that ended her career. Transforming herself, Cheryl served an apprenticeship with Dr. Michael Byars of London, Ohio and survived with her backup plan as a Licensed Optician. She moved to California and married Extra® TV and Fox® News reporter Phil Shuman.

After a chance meeting with Michael Jackson, Shuman became the darling of the film and television industry by making house calls with her eyewear to the most famous faces in the world.

Beginning in 1984, “Optician to the Stars”, Cheryl Shuman, was one of the pioneers in marketing the fashion industry to the entertainment industry. As an Optician having direct “eye to eye” contact, Shuman, realized the power of celebrity and how that power can make a designer or product a household name overnight. Shuman is single handedly credited with some of the biggest trendsetters in the history of sunglasses and eyewear. Terminator 2, When Harry Met Sally, Thelma and Louise, Bat Man, Mission Impossible and Erin Brockovich are just a few of the more than 3,000 feature film and television projects that she is credited with during our 20 year history.

Good old Matchmaker for the career woman :-) Ok, so I met someone and it didn't work out. And here I am checking out what fish are left in the ocean. My natural parents divorced when I was 18 months old. I never knew them. I ended up basically as a homeless kid that went on to make her fortune. Last December after 42 years, I got a call from my natural mother that got a call from my natural father saying that he has loved her all of these years and wanted to marry her again and find his first family. They got married in February and moved to Portsmouth Ohio. I've had a good life careerwise, but never had parents or a "home" really. This was my chance. I'm filmed a documentary and wrote a book about the experience. I just returned from taking a year off from the craziness of Hollywood life to personally mentor underprivileged Young People throughout the Appalachian Region where I grew up. Shouldn't a PR and Marketing Executive Who's Single Apply the Same Marketing Techniques for herself that she does her work? hmmmmm? I'm curious as to whether or not, my "other half" is out there.....I love my work, I love my family and I love my friends. I like being single, but would be interested in a relationship with the right man. I'm open to making new friends and business contacts. I would prefer to meet someone taller than myself, who's considered to be attractive, stable, sensitive, driven and kind with family values and a strong work ethic, yet loves living life. I am 45 years old but most people assume that I'm 30-33, which is great. I'm looking for someone close to my own age that takes great pride in their appearance. Believe it or not, my work is exceptionally fun! I'm the CEO of an entertainment marketing firm for film and television that also has a production division. There's always different events, parties etc., so I really enjoy it!

I love to travel! I love elegant, sophisticated venues with quality people. The atmosphere, however, of any particular setting is really dependant on the company that you are sharing the time with isn't it? (sigh) Chemistry is KEY!!!

My favorite things are real times, with true friends, just enjoying life. I've "BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT" all over the world through a fortunate set of "jetset" circumstances with my career, so real friends are invaluable.
